YOUR VISIT AT A GLANCE
Nice combines a city break with access to the eastern French Riviera. The airport is close to the urban coast, but a trip to Monaco or the hill villages is a different transfer from a stay in Nice itself. Share the final address before comparing arrival options.
BEYOND THE ARRIVAL
A Riviera city with its own daily life
Nice is more than a convenient Riviera airport. The wide Promenade des Anglais and the narrow streets of Vieux Nice show two contrasting faces of the city. Around the old town, small squares and market streets invite a slower visit; along the bay, the scale opens up to long views and a broad seafront walk.
The city’s history as a winter resort helps explain its grand seafront architecture and international character. Today a visit can combine the coast with art, neighbourhood life and viewpoints above the centre. Choose Nice itself for a short stay, then treat Monaco, the hill villages or Cannes as separate additions rather than reasons to spend the whole day driving along the coast.

Promenade des Anglais
The seafront promenade follows the curve of the Baie des Anges. Walk a section between appointments, or combine it with the old town and a longer coastal stay.

Old Nice
Narrow streets, markets and shaded squares reveal Nice away from the broad seafront. Explore on foot and leave time for the climb towards Castle Hill.

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport
Nice is a substantial international airport beside the coast, close to central Nice and serving the wider Riviera. Business aviation has dedicated facilities. It is also an option for Monaco, Cannes and Saint-Tropez when aircraft suitability or onward travel makes it preferable.
Indicative road journeys. The terminal, final address and traffic affect the time. Dotted ends link the road to the marked place; this overview is not a navigation map.
Your onward journey
A seafront address, a street in Vieux Nice and a hilltop property need different final approaches. Give the exact destination to the driver. For onward travel to Monaco or another Riviera town, compare the complete transfer rather than assuming that the short journey into Nice represents the whole coast.
Plan around your final address
Major Riviera events and summer demand can affect arrangements. A helicopter connection needs its own weather, landing-site and baggage checks.
Airport details and arrival guidance →TIMING YOUR TRIP
When to travel
The coast is busiest in summer and around major Riviera events. Spring and autumn suit city visits; the sea and weather still determine beach and boat plans.
Spring
Combine the old town, a museum and a seafront walk. If the visit overlaps with major Riviera events, plan the airport and road schedule around the confirmed dates rather than the season alone.
Summer
Leave time for the waterfront but keep the programme geographically compact. A city visit and a long coastal excursion are different days when traffic and group needs are taken into account.
Autumn & winter
Architecture, museums and the old town remain reasons to come outside the beach season. Keep outdoor plans flexible and check individual opening dates for seasonal activities.
CONNECT YOUR JOURNEY
Plan the journey in both directions
Indicative jet flight between the reference airports. Transfers are additional; see the route for the airport pair and arrival options.
AIRCRAFT TO CONSIDER
Choose the space you need
Compare passenger seats, luggage and cabin space. The operator confirms the aircraft’s suitability for the airports and the particular flight.
Before your visit
Should I stay in Nice’s programme or add Monaco?⌄
Both can fit into a longer visit. For a brief trip, decide which is the main destination and allow a separate transfer for the other. They are not two adjacent stops within Nice’s city centre.
Which airport should I choose?⌄
Nice is a substantial international airport beside the coast, close to central Nice and serving the wider Riviera. Business aviation has dedicated facilities. It is also an option for Monaco, Cannes and Saint-Tropez when aircraft suitability or onward travel makes it preferable.
How long is the airport transfer?⌄
The indicative road journey from the airport shown on this map to the city centre is 15-30 minutes. The exact terminal, address and traffic affect the journey. Select a point on the map to compare the available local destinations.
What should I send with a charter request?⌄
Send your dates, departure point, passenger count and final address. Mention large bags or sports equipment and any fixed appointment. We can then compare the flight and onward journey together.
