Citation XLS+
A midsize Citation with a relatively tall cabin and a generous external baggage hold. A useful balance for regional travel with more passengers than a very light jet.

Why consider this model?
How much space?

People and cabin dimensions share one scale. The cabin outline is illustrative. The layout is an example, not the seat map of the aircraft in your quote.
Room for your luggage
2.55 m³ of baggage space.
* Approximate planning range, not a baggage allowance. Suitcase size, compartment access, weight and flight load affect what fits. We confirm your luggage for the aircraft offered.
Skis, golf bags or extra luggage?
Include the number and dimensions of bulky items in your request. Long items need a separate check.
Aircraft specifications
Cabin length is the passenger-cabin figure, not the longer pressure-vessel dimension. Cruise is the approximate high-speed figure. Baggage is in the external tail compartment and smaller internal storage areas.
Excel / XL, XLS, XLS+ and XLS Gen2
These are successive versions of the Citation 560XL family. XL is commonly used for the original Excel, not a separate generation. Citation III, VI and VII form the separate 650 family.
Citation Excel
The original 560XL, also called Excel or XL. Deliveries began in 1998.
Citation XLS
The 2004 update with revised engines and equipment, retaining the Excel cabin proportions.
Citation XLS+
The 2008 development with further engine, cockpit and interior changes.
Citation XLS GEN2
The 2022 cabin update with redesigned seats, lighting and passenger connectivity.
Model historyWhere it began and how it evolved
The family began with the Citation Excel, first delivered in 1998. It combined a relatively roomy passenger cabin with the operating profile of a smaller business jet.
The XLS followed, then the XLS+ entered service in 2008. The Plus version brought revised engines, a new cockpit and cabin refinements while keeping the basic passenger-space concept.
The XLS Gen2 followed in 2022 with a further cabin redesign. On a charter flight, the actual seat arrangement and refurbishment date are more informative than the Plus badge alone.
Before you choose
Can I stand upright in the cabin?
The cabin is lower than 180 cm, so a person of that height cannot stand fully upright. The scaled illustration shows the difference. Maximum cabin height: 1.73 m.
Will my aircraft have this exact interior?
Not necessarily. These photographs and the layout illustrate the model. We check the actual interior, seats and equipment when preparing your proposal.
When should I consider this model?
XLS+ works well for regional trips where cabin height and luggage room matter. A person 180 cm tall cannot stand fully upright. Longer sectors with a full cabin may require a fuel stop.
