Courchevel Altiport

AIRPORT OVERVIEW
Courchevel’s high-altitude altiport lies beside the resort. Its short, steeply sloping runway is a specialist facility for suitable light aircraft, alongside helicopter access. It is not a conventional destination for a business jet.
Is this the right airport for your trip?
For a private jet journey, compare a gateway such as Geneva or Chambéry and an onward road or helicopter transfer. Mountain weather may change the final leg.
Runway length is a useful reference, not a guarantee that every aircraft can operate here. The operator checks performance, load and the conditions for the actual flight.
LOCATION & PURPOSE
Where this airport works well
Courchevel Altiport is part of the mountain resort itself. Its short, sloping runway makes it fundamentally different from a conventional business-jet airport. The attraction is a final arrival close to the slopes, but access depends on a suitable aircraft, appropriately qualified crew and mountain conditions. It is not an airport to offer indiscriminately for every private-jet request.
PRIVATE FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Terminal and meeting point
A common planning approach is to separate the journey into two parts: a jet flight to an appropriate gateway, then a road or helicopter transfer to Courchevel. The London route on this site uses Geneva for that jet sector. A direct fixed-wing arrival at the altiport is a different operation and must be assessed independently. The runway length should never be read as a promise that a particular jet can land here.

AIRPORT & ONWARD TRAVEL
Courchevel
Indicative road journeys. The terminal, final address and traffic affect the time. Dotted ends link the road to the marked place; this overview is not a navigation map.
AFTER LANDING
Plan the rest of your journey
Courchevel includes several villages at different elevations. Give the exact accommodation or meeting address rather than only the resort name, because the final transfer changes with the destination. Ski bags, boots and family luggage also affect both aircraft and vehicle choice. For a mountain connection, keep a workable road alternative in mind if weather prevents the preferred air transfer. The local map describes the altiport and resort, not the full drive from Geneva.
Before you arrive
Where should my driver meet me?⌄
Use the handling address and meeting instructions in your flight confirmation. A private flight may be served away from the main airline terminal.
What about passport and customs formalities?⌄
The arrangements depend on the flight’s origin, destination and passenger documents. Confirm these with the operating carrier before departure.
Can I return through a different airport?⌄
Yes, subject to the itinerary and operating arrangements. Share both addresses and dates so the complete trip can be compared.
