Cannes-Mandelieu is focused on business and general aviation, west of Cannes. It offers a direct approach to a Cannes stay without driving from Nice, provided the proposed aircraft and operating conditions suit the airport.

Where this airport works well
Cannes-Mandelieu focuses on general and business aviation, unlike a large airport built primarily around airline departures. Its position west of Cannes is relevant to the Croisette, Mandelieu and nearby business visits. This local access is the main reason to compare it with Nice, rather than assuming that every Riviera journey should start at the same airport.

Terminal and meeting point
The shorter runway and local operating environment make aircraft selection important. A comfortable cabin on another route does not automatically make that aircraft suitable for Cannes with the same load. The carrier assesses the proposed operation before the booking is finalised. Passenger reception is organised through the airport's business aviation services, and the driver should be given the agreed meeting point.

For a congress or festival visit, work backwards from the actual venue and appointment time. A short geographical distance does not remove event traffic near the waterfront. If the aircraft cannot use Cannes on the requested plan, Nice is a practical alternative to compare, with a different ground journey. Helicopter continuation may also be considered separately, but its availability and luggage capacity need to fit the trip rather than be assumed.
