AIRPORT OVERVIEW

Berlin Brandenburg is southeast of Berlin. Its General Aviation Terminal is in the Service Area North, reached separately from ordinary airline departures. Central Berlin, Potsdam and the exhibition grounds are distinct road destinations.

Is this the right airport for your trip?

Berlin covers a large area. A single transfer estimate cannot represent every district; plan around the address and time of day.

Runway length is a useful reference, not a guarantee that every aircraft can operate here. The operator checks performance, load and the conditions for the actual flight.

LOCATION & PURPOSE

Where this airport works well

Berlin Brandenburg is southeast of Berlin and serves a city with several distinct centres. Mitte, the western exhibition area and Potsdam should not be treated as one destination for transfer planning. Choosing BER is only part of the journey: the final address and the order of appointments determine the onward road plan.

PRIVATE FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Terminal and meeting point

The General Aviation Terminal is in Service Area North, in the approach area to Terminal 1. This is a specific facility, not a direction to any entrance labelled arrivals. Use the confirmed ground-service address for the driver and passengers. If the itinerary combines an airline arrival with a private departure, allow for the movement between facilities as well as baggage and arrival procedures.

AFTER LANDING

Plan the rest of your journey

For a visit involving both Berlin and Potsdam, identify where the day will finish before fixing the return flight. Crossing the metropolitan area again solely to collect someone can change the whole schedule. The city guide and map help distinguish a central reference point from other places worth visiting, but a transfer to an office or event should still use its own address. Larger presentation cases or exhibition equipment should be included in the luggage request, not added after the aircraft is chosen.

Before you arrive

Where should my driver meet me?⌄

Use the handling address and meeting instructions in your flight confirmation. A private flight may be served away from the main airline terminal.

What about passport and customs formalities?⌄

The arrangements depend on the flight’s origin, destination and passenger documents. Confirm these with the operating carrier before departure.

Can I return through a different airport?⌄

Yes, subject to the itinerary and operating arrangements. Share both addresses and dates so the complete trip can be compared.
