Sweden offers several distinct settings for a visit: Stockholm and its archipelago, the west coast around Gothenburg, the southern cities and the far north. Design, restaurants and museums suit a city stay; islands and coastal communities give a different view of the country.
The destination matters more than the capital alone. A west-coast visit, an island stay and a northern journey should each be planned around the final address. If the itinerary includes a boat crossing, allow for that connection when setting the flight time.

What should I specify for a Swedish island stay?
Give the island, accommodation address and any planned boat connection. The flight should fit the onward journey, not just reach the nearest large city. If your host arranges a transfer, include its departure place and time in the request.
How should I choose an arrival airport for Sweden?
Start with your final address, rather than the country name alone. Stockholm is one of the places shown here, but a suitable arrival airport depends on the route, aircraft, operating conditions and onward transfer. Compare the flight and the onward journey together. A nearby point on the map is not necessarily the most suitable airport for the chosen aircraft or schedule.
Should I arrange the island transfer before confirming the flight?
