Citation I
The Citation I suits short regional flights for a small group. Its compact size and straight-wing design make it worth considering for suitable smaller airports. The low cabin is designed for sitting, and the interior condition varies between aircraft.

Why consider this model?
How much space?

People and cabin dimensions share one scale. The cabin outline is illustrative. The layout is an example, not the seat map of the aircraft in your quote.
Room for your luggage
1.13 m³ of baggage space.
* Indicative estimate based on published baggage volume, for medium suitcases around 65 × 45 × 25 cm. Compartment shape, door openings, baggage weight and flight load can reduce the number. We confirm your luggage for the aircraft offered.
Skis, golf bags or extra luggage?
Include the number and dimensions of bulky items in your request. Long items need a separate check.
Aircraft specifications
Planning figure; passenger load, wind, reserves and airfield conditions affect the route.
The model and its relatives
Citation I
The Citation I developed the first Citation with a longer-span wing and improved engines in the 1970s. It established the small, straightforward cabin layout used by many early Citations.
Citation Bravo
The Bravo provides a seven- or eight-seat light-jet cabin with separate baggage storage. It is a useful regional option when cabin practicality matters more than outright speed.
Citation Ultra
The Ultra combines a relatively long light-jet cabin with good cruise speed. Its narrow aisle and low ceiling remain those of a compact jet, despite the extra seating length.
Model historyWhere it began and how it evolved
Cessna’s first Citation project began as the FanJet 500, which flew in 1969. The idea was a business jet with straightforward handling and access to smaller airports, rather than a design centred on maximum speed. The Citation I was an improvement of that original aircraft and became the ancestor of several larger straight-wing Citations.

Before you choose
Can I stand upright in the cabin?
The cabin is lower than 180 cm, so a person of that height cannot stand fully upright. The scaled illustration shows the difference. Maximum cabin height: 1.43 m.
Will my aircraft have this exact interior?
Not necessarily. These photographs and the layout illustrate the model. We check the actual interior, seats and equipment when preparing your proposal.
When should I consider this model?
The Citation I is an early compact business jet for short journeys. Cabin condition and the actual seating plan matter more than its model name alone.
