Why consider this model?
How much space?

People and cabin dimensions share one scale. The cabin outline is illustrative. The layout is an example, not the seat map of the aircraft in your quote.
Room for your luggage
4.39 m³ of baggage space.
* Indicative estimate based on published baggage volume, for medium suitcases around 65 × 45 × 25 cm. Compartment shape, door openings, baggage weight and flight load can reduce the number. We confirm your luggage for the aircraft offered.
Skis, golf bags or extra luggage?
Include the number and dimensions of bulky items in your request. Long items need a separate check.
Aircraft specifications
Maximum range with four passengers, two pilots and NBAA IFR reserves. The cruise figure is the manufacturer’s high-speed cruise, not the speed used for maximum range.
The model and its relatives
Legacy 500
First delivered in 2014, the Legacy 500 introduced a new Embraer business-jet family with digital flight controls and a stand-up cabin. The shorter 450 followed a year later.
Legacy 450
A flat floor and standing headroom make the Legacy 450 feel more spacious than many smaller jets. It suits a group of seven or eight travelling medium distances.
Praetor 500
The Praetor 500 combines a flat-floor cabin with range beyond many midsize jets. Its seven-seat standard layout leaves room to move without needing a much larger aircraft.
Model historyWhere it began and how it evolved
Despite the Legacy name, the 500 was not a shortened 600. It was a new design, with a different fuselage and computer-assisted flight controls. The flat cabin floor was a central passenger feature. This platform later became the basis of the longer-range Praetor 600.

The Praetor 600 later extended the platform’s range. The Legacy 500 shares much of its cabin space, but has different fuel capacity and route capability.
Before you choose
Can I stand upright in the cabin?
A person 180 cm tall can stand at the highest part of the cabin. Space narrows towards the sides. Maximum cabin height: 1.83 m.
