Citation CJ
The CitationJet is a small jet for short business trips and weekends away with a few passengers. Its compact club cabin and separate luggage storage suit a light travelling party. Headroom is limited.

Why consider this model?
How much space?

People and cabin dimensions share one scale. The cabin outline is illustrative. The layout is an example, not the seat map of the aircraft in your quote.
Room for your luggage
1.27 m³ of baggage space.
* Indicative estimate based on published baggage volume, for medium suitcases around 65 × 45 × 25 cm. Compartment shape, door openings, baggage weight and flight load can reduce the number. We confirm your luggage for the aircraft offered.
Skis, golf bags or extra luggage?
Include the number and dimensions of bulky items in your request. Long items need a separate check.

The model and its relatives
Citation CJ
The CitationJet arrived in 1993 with Williams engines and a new wing. It began the CJ family, which later grew into several different cabin lengths.
Citation CJ1+
The CJ1+ adds newer engine control and more speed to the compact CJ1 cabin. Four main seats remain the useful reference for a comfortable group.
Citation CJ2+
The CJ2+ combines a six-seat cabin with more range than the earlier CJ2. It is useful when a compact jet needs to cover a longer regional route.
Model historyWhere it began and how it evolved
The CJ family began as a replacement for Cessna’s earliest small Citations. Instead of enlarging the older aircraft, Cessna combined a compact fuselage with a new wing and small Williams engines. The wing attachment left more usable space inside. This became the starting point for several progressively longer jets, rather than one model with different interiors.

Before you choose
Can I stand upright in the cabin?
The cabin is lower than 180 cm, so a person of that height cannot stand fully upright. The scaled illustration shows the difference. Maximum cabin height: 1.45 m.
Will my aircraft have this exact interior?
Not necessarily. These photographs and the layout illustrate the model. We check the actual interior, seats and equipment when preparing your proposal.
When should I consider this model?
The original CitationJet is a compact option for short flights with a small group. Its main advantage is simple cabin space without the size of a midsize jet.
