GET TO KNOW SWITZERLAND
Alpine landscapes, city life and Swiss craft
Switzerland is a landlocked country in the heart of Europe, known for the Alps, its lakes and cities with distinct German, French and Italian influences. People travel here for business, skiing, hiking, art and quiet stays by the water. Distances on the map can be short, but mountain terrain makes the choice of airport and onward transfer important.
Zurich and Geneva are established centres for finance and international business. Swiss watchmaking is closely associated with Geneva and the Jura region, while cheese traditions range from Gruyère and Emmental to raclette and fondue. Museums, workshops and regional food offer plenty to explore beyond the mountain resorts.
For a private flight, start with where you want to stay or work. We can compare aircraft and arrival options around your dates, passenger count and baggage, including ski equipment when needed.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT
Questions about flying to Switzerland
Which airport should I choose for a private flight to Switzerland?
Choose the airport around your final destination and the aircraft suited to your trip. The closest airport on a map may not offer the shortest overall journey. Runway suitability, opening hours, weather and the onward drive all matter. Share the address of your hotel, chalet or meeting venue so we can compare arrival options.
How do I reach a Swiss mountain resort after landing?
The final part of the journey is usually a road transfer; a helicopter may be an option where a suitable landing site and operating conditions allow. For St. Moritz, Engadin Airport in Samedan is one arrival option to assess. Mountain weather can affect flight plans, so the airport and transfer should be considered together, with an alternative route if needed.
When should I book a private flight for a Swiss ski holiday?
Start looking once your travel dates are settled, especially for Christmas, New Year and school holidays. Booking earlier gives more time to compare aircraft and arrange the onward transfer. There is no single booking deadline: a short-notice flight depends on available aircraft, airport access and operating conditions.
Can I bring skis and snowboards on a private jet?
Yes, provided the selected aircraft can accommodate their dimensions and weight alongside your other luggage. Tell us how many ski or snowboard bags you will bring, their length and your suitcase count before choosing an aircraft. Seat capacity alone does not tell you whether all the equipment will fit.
Can I arrive in one Swiss city and depart from another?
Yes. A private charter can be planned with different arrival and departure airports, for example flying into Geneva and returning from Zurich. Include both destinations and dates in your request. Aircraft availability and any repositioning flights will affect the options and total price.
