The model and its relatives

R44 Raven II

The four-seat R44 followed Robinson’s two-seat R22. The Raven II arrived in 2002 with a fuel-injected engine; its four seats include the pilot, not four charter passengers.

Model historyWhere it began and how it evolved

Robinson’s R22 was a small two-seat helicopter, particularly familiar in training. The R44 expanded that approach into a four-seat cabin, making private travel and sightseeing practical for a few people. It retained a piston engine rather than moving into the turbine class. The Raven II then developed the R44 with fuel injection, while preserving its recognisable compact shape.

Before you choose

Can I stand upright in the cabin?

The cabin is lower than 180 cm, so a person of that height cannot stand fully upright. The scaled illustration shows the difference. Maximum cabin height: 1.25 m.

Will my helicopter have this exact interior?

Not necessarily. These photographs and the layout illustrate the model. We check the actual interior, seats and equipment when preparing your proposal.
