Chile includes the Atacama Desert, Santiago and the wine valleys, and the landscapes of Patagonia. These are distinct travel areas rather than nearby excursions from one base. A city visit, a desert stay and a southern outdoor journey need different plans.
For several regions, build the itinerary around the time available at each stop. The flight is only one part of the journey: include the onward road to the accommodation and the departure point for any excursion. Trying to cover every region on a short visit leaves little time on the ground.
