AIRPORT OVERVIEW

Lyon-Bron is the city’s dedicated business aviation airport, east of the centre. It is an alternative to Lyon-Saint Exupéry for private flights, with an itinerary built around your meeting address and aircraft rather than airline connections.

Is this the right airport for your trip?

The shorter runway means the aircraft, load and conditions matter. Saint Exupéry may be preferable for a different aircraft or a connection with a scheduled flight.

Runway length is a useful reference, not a guarantee that every aircraft can operate here. The operator checks performance, load and the conditions for the actual flight.

LOCATION & PURPOSE

Where this airport works well

Lyon-Bron is a business aviation airport on the eastern side of the Lyon metropolitan area. It has a different role from Lyon-Saint Exupéry, the city's main airline airport. This distinction is useful when the purpose is a private business visit rather than an airline connection. The final address may favour the city centre, the eastern business districts or a venue farther outside Lyon.

PRIVATE FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Terminal and meeting point

The airport has a business aviation terminal. Its published access address is on avenue Louis Mouillard, but the meeting instructions for the particular flight should still be passed to the driver. The runway and aircraft performance need to be considered together; an airport's business aviation focus does not mean that every aircraft can operate with every load. For a larger-aircraft itinerary, compare Saint Exupéry when appropriate.

Plan the rest of your journey

A meeting in Part-Dieu, a visit to the old town and an event at Eurexpo require different ground plans. Tell us the venue and the time you need to be there, especially for a visit with an evening return. If Lyon is the starting point for an Alpine journey, allow for that separate road sector. The transfer shown on the map is a city reference and does not describe travel to a ski resort.

Before you arrive

Where should my driver meet me?⌄

Use the handling address and meeting instructions in your flight confirmation. A private flight may be served away from the main airline terminal.

What about passport and customs formalities?⌄

The arrangements depend on the flight’s origin, destination and passenger documents. Confirm these with the operating carrier before departure.

Can I return through a different airport?⌄

Yes, subject to the itinerary and operating arrangements. Share both addresses and dates so the complete trip can be compared.
