AIRPORT OVERVIEW

Zagreb’s airport lies southeast of the capital. General aviation has a separate terminal on the western side of the airport, with its own entrance. It suits government, business and city visits as well as onward journeys into inland Croatia.

Is this the right airport for your trip?

For an Adriatic coastal stay, Zagreb may add a long road transfer. Compare an airport nearer the final destination before choosing the arrival point.

Runway length is a useful reference, not a guarantee that every aircraft can operate here. The operator checks performance, load and the conditions for the actual flight.

LOCATION & PURPOSE

Where this airport works well

Franjo Tuđman Airport is Zagreb's international gateway, southeast of the city near Velika Gorica. It is useful for business and cultural visits to the capital as well as the start of a wider Croatian itinerary. Arrival in Zagreb should not be confused with arrival on the Adriatic coast: a coastal destination adds a substantial onward journey and may favour another airport.

PRIVATE FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Terminal and meeting point

The General Aviation Terminal is on the western side of the airport campus, with its own signposted access. That matters to a driver using directions intended for the main passenger terminal. Private-flight reception and the transfer to the aircraft are coordinated through the relevant ground service arrangements. Send the confirmed meeting address to the whole party, especially if some passengers join locally and others arrive by air.

AFTER LANDING

Plan the rest of your journey

Central Zagreb, an office outside the centre and an onward regional visit require different transfer plans. For a short city stay, the linked guide helps put sightseeing and meetings in order without repeatedly crossing the city. If the itinerary continues to the coast, compare a second flight with the full road journey rather than treating it as a routine city transfer. The return departure can also be planned from the final destination where a suitable airport is available.

Before you arrive

Where should my driver meet me?⌄

Use the handling address and meeting instructions in your flight confirmation. A private flight may be served away from the main airline terminal.

What about passport and customs formalities?⌄

The arrangements depend on the flight’s origin, destination and passenger documents. Confirm these with the operating carrier before departure.

Can I return through a different airport?⌄

Yes, subject to the itinerary and operating arrangements. Share both addresses and dates so the complete trip can be compared.
